Dry needling

This needling technique is used by the physiotherapist as an adjunct therapy to the main treatment causing your concern to assist with pain reduction. Dry needling is an effective and efficient technique for the treatment of muscular pain and myofascial dysfunction.  Dry needling or intramuscular stimulation (IMS) is a technique which is extremely effective for relaxing overactive muscles, which contain trigger points.

It involves the placement of single use, thin monofilament needle into the muscle area of tightness or specifically into the myofascial trigger point. The needle itself does NOT contain any injectable substance and is a single only use needle.

There is no additional charge for dry needling, if applied during a regular consultation.
